Industrial Network Infrastructure Architect


Task description

Key Responsibilities

Develops group wide infrastructure architecture vision, based on ISA95/99 standards, within specific technical domain.

Provides a holistic view of the organisation's strategy, processes, information, technology and assets. • Leads the development of infrastructure strategy, architecture, service delivery standards and procedures for the industrial OT infrastructure based on IEC/TS 62264 (ISA95) and IEC/TS 62443 (ISA99) standards

• Analyses and predicts trends and develops long range plans designed to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness of the industrial OT infrastructure

• Actively contributes to ensuring alignment of vision with that of other technical domains

• Participates in IT strategy planning activities, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of infrastructure technology and systems and best practices (e.g. ITIL) as related to the needs of the business

• Proactively researches and recommends courses of action to prevent problems and to maintain high infrastructure service levels

• Engages with Production Services to regularly understand problems within environment affecting their expertise area

• Establishes metrics, key performance indicators and service level agreements for driving the performance of IT service delivery

• Has responsibility for the OT service delivery management of databases, servers, networks, storage, email, directory and other technology platforms shared across the industrial OT infrastructure environment

• Has direct or indirect involvement in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of OT systems within the infrastructure operations domain


Task requirements

We are looking for ISA95 architect who

• Has Five or more years of hands-on experience in design and installation of OT network infrastructure in industrial environments based on IEC/TS 62264 (ISA95) and IEC/TS 62443 (ISA99) standards

• Is fully familiar with recognised industry bodies of knowledge both generic and specific.

• Can transform reference architectures, standard building blocks and digital principles into detailed design of network infrastructure tailored for specific terminal sites and operation

• Can develop physical and logical design for network infrastructure using the guiding principles of ISA95 and IEC62443 (ISA99) standards

• Has extensive experience with Cisco Industrial products from Core to access layer and demonstrates expert level knowledge and experience in Cisco Enterprise solutions, preferably CCNP Enterprise or CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure level

• Has ISA-95 and Industry 4.0 knowledge & experience

• Has knowledge of industrial protocols such as PROFInet (including PROFIsafe for functional safety communication), CAN bus or similar

• Has knowledge of OT security (IEC62443)

• Works under broad direction and is fully responsible for meeting allocated technical and/or project/supervisory objective

• Can influences organisation, customers, suppliers, partners and peers on the contribution of own specialism, while Building appropriate and effective business relationships

• Undertakes work which requires the application of fundamental principles in a wide and often unpredictable range of contexts

• Demonstrates leadership. Communicates effectively, both formally and informally

• Facilitates collaboration between stakeholders who have diverse objectives Additionally, below is desirable
