We are looking for a senior engineer within the brake area. Tasks is primarily focused on development and integration of the brake system at Volvo Buses. Need a person with good personal drive that also can handle communication between our team, projects, suppliers, and our colleagues at trucks. Background within the technical area of brakes is a must. Experience from Volvo AB is favorable.

Our team today consists of 15 engineers working within the areas of brake, pneumatics, suspension, steering and engine suspension for Volvo Buses. It’s a driven team with strong product focus and a great deal of experience to share, enabling a workplace with fun challenging tasks and a good place to learn.

(position typically requires ?5 years relevant experience)Design technical solutions according to given prerequisites (e.g., function, style, volume, geometry, costs, quality target and regulations) in mechanical areas. Support and Lead mechanical design engineering activities in a particular area. Play an active role in the delivery. Integrate deliveries from others and secure quality and readiness before release. Ensure the design fulfills the business targets/ requirements. Provide input in product and system roadmaps. Network and build relationship with universities and external institutes for own technical area. Participate in the business development and innovation. Develop and Manage networking across the organization and provide inputs to the project pre-requisites based on the component history. On Senior level applies advanced knowledge typically obtained through education and work experience (position typically requires ?5 years relevant experience). - Supporting junior team members and peers- Role model of lifelong learning, sharing knowledge and developing others as a trainer and/or coach - May be digging deeper in own discipline, but is building broader Tshaped profile - Developing influence and working confidently within the wider Volvo Group network - Clear articulation of how he/she is creating value within their part for the TD/BA.
