Looking for an experienced engineer with interest in working as function owner for the Zone Management ( Safety Zones, Coaching Zones, Environmental zone)

Zone Management focuses on geofencing, safety and eco-driving areas, allowing operators to adhere to local regulations and environmental standards.

What is a zone?

In the context of Connected Services, a zone is a geographical area (for example, streets, city centers, school/hospital areas etc.) with a given set of parameters and characteristics such as speed limit, emission control, battery monitoring or specific route.

Main area of responsibility

• EUF requirement owner

• Analyze function needs from use case, technology development, project prerequisites, features and regulations

• Specify EUF in terms of customer needs and wanted system behavior covering all variations in the products

• Review, handshake and secure commitment with all stakeholders for the End User Function Requirements

• Lead the work for the function regarding functional Safety

• Contribute and participate in development of the functions Verification & Validation together with the verification engineer

• Function roadmap, short and long term

• Report and communicate the EUF maturity, progress and status

• Establish a function delivery plan including verification and validation plan

And this is you

• BSc or MSc degree in electrical/software engineering or equivalent

• Good understanding and working knowledge with vehicle diagnostics

• Good knowledge of the TARA methodology and experience from performing TARA

• ISO 26262 or other functional safety standards

• Good knowledge of the HARA methodology and experience from performing HARA

• A solid network within Volvo Group and knowledge of our system and processes is meritorious.

• T-shaping mindset, experience or interest in learning new areas

• Knowledge of Tools: Vector tools, System Weaver
