Industrial Designer & Storyteller
(Temporary assignment covering parental leave)
We are looking for a visual professional who can transform complex ideas—spanning truck ecosystems, UX, business models, technical systems, innovations, and physical properties—into clear, compelling, and visually engaging stories. You will be part of a team developing narrative-driven content for Advanced Design concepts, producing deliverables such as animations, presentations, films, and more.
Sustainability will be the core message of the storytelling, highlighting a triple win for Volvo Group, the planet, and customers. You should be skilled at simplifying abstract concepts and making them aesthetically appealing, while incorporating themes such as resource efficiency and circular thinking to drive strong engagement.
You should be able to work with complex 3D-files and translate them into storyboards, scenario – and product animations.
As an Industrial Designer and Storyteller within the Advanced Design team, you will collaborate closely with a wide range of design competencies and be assigned to one primary project. You are expected to demonstrate strong self-leadership, independently drive your work forward, and transform sometimes vague instructions into concrete proposals and visual stories that allow the team to quickly react and provide feedback. You will join a highly skilled and collaborative team working on exciting, cutting edge topics—teamwork and an independent drive are both essential.
This position is a temporary replacement for a parental leave from May 2026 to February 2027, with a 3 week handover period at the start.
