Role Description

The Software download diagnostic engineer is responsible for creating, maintaining, and securing the functionality of software download functions withing the diagnostic tool Codiac.

To create the necessary functions, software download diagnostic engineers must have a deep understanding of work of a workshop technician. As well as a good understanding of how vehicle communicate in the topology and in their electrical architecture. Thy must also have a good general understanding of how databases interact for fault-tracing purposes.

Software functions for the diagnostic tool Codiac is written in JavaScript.


Key responsibilities

• Developing software reload functions per ECU in a model of car.

• Secure alignment between developed software functions and diagnostic/technical requirements

• Maintaining already developed software download functions for previous models.

• Assist technical support teams with fault-tracing of issues related to software download


Qualifications & Skills

• Deep ISO-14229 knowledge

• 3+ years experience of working with development of aftermarket software download tools.

• Previous experience from working as a technician in a workshop.

• 5+ years of working with JavaScript

• Experience from working within the Codiac suit

• 5+ years experience of working with content authoring in workshop manuals or diagnostic systems
