Data Engineer

We are looking for several experienced Data Engineers. You will be part of a data team working with large-scale data collection, ingestion and processing platforms that support development of complex solutions.

About the role

In this role you will contribute to building and evolving a data platform responsible for collecting, processing and leveraging large volumes of data.

Responsibilities

Develop strategy and architecture for collecting, processing and leveraging large-scale data

Design and implement solutions for efficient and scalable collection and processing of dense data (raw sensor data, signals and service messages)

Contribute to building a Data Mesh platform supporting multiple engineering teams

Collaborate closely with teams within Machine Learning, MLOps, Perception and Systems Engineering

Support the development of data infrastructure used for advanced autonomous systems

Required experience

5+ years of experience in software engineering or data engineering

Background in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mechatronics or Electronics

Experience building and operating large-scale data collection, ingestion and processing platforms

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Self-driven and comfortable working in fast-paced product development environments

Additional experience considered a strong advantage

Experience with Go or C++

Experience with GCP

Experience working with multiple database models (e.g. PostgreSQL, BigQuery, Firestore)

Experience collecting and processing large volumes of sensor data such as camera, LiDAR or radar

Understanding of machine learning training workflows
