Göteborg (Onsite)

We are looking for a senior Electronics Engineer with strong PCB layout expertise for a consultancy assignment within advanced embedded control systems used in demanding industrial environments.

This is not a pure layout role. You will work hands-on with electronics development end-to-end — from schematic and layout decisions to bring-up, troubleshooting and EMC validation in lab.

The products are used in harsh real-world environments, where reliability and EMC robustness are business-critical.

About the assignment

You will join a technically strong and collaborative engineering team with access to a well-equipped electronics lab. The organization values ownership, technical depth and close cooperation across disciplines.

You will take ownership of both PCB layout strategy and practical electronics development, ensuring performance, signal integrity and EMC compliance in complex systems.

Your responsibilities include:

Leading PCB layout strategy and execution for multilayer, impedance-controlled boards

Contributing to schematic design and system-level electronics decisions

Designing for signal integrity, power integrity and EMC robustness

Stackup definition, grounding strategies, return path planning and decoupling

Driving schematic and layout reviews (Cadence OrCAD / Allegro)

Working with high-speed interfaces such as DDR, PCIe and multi-Gbps links

Hands-on work in electronics lab – bring-up, debugging and root cause analysis

Actively participating in EMC testing, troubleshooting and design improvements

Close collaboration with electronics, mechanics, systems, test and verification teams

We believe you have

5+ years of experience in electronics development

Strong hands-on PCB layout experience (Cadence OrCAD and/or Allegro)

Experience delivering complex PCBs used in production

Solid understanding of signal integrity, power integrity and EMC-aware design

Practical experience from lab work, bring-up and EMC testing

Ability to troubleshoot both at layout and system level

Fluent English (Swedish is a plus)

Meritorious

Experience developing electronics for harsh environments

Experience with high-speed interfaces or RF design

Experience using SI/EM simulation tools (HFSS, Siwave, LTspice)

Experience with DFM/DFT and working with contract manufacturers

Regular on-site presence is required due to lab work and EMC testing.
