IT architect & Cloud Engineer

We are looking for a consultant for an assignment starting as soon as possible and running until the end of the year. The main focus is competence in AWS, SQL, and Cloud Security.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the overall IT architecture and cloud engineering for infrastructure and applications
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS infrastructure using Terraform (IaC)
• Develop and maintain serverless applications using AWS Lambda and Python
• Design and optimize database architectures for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Manage and tune SQL databases, queries, and stored procedures
• Administer and optimize server infrastructure
• Manage DNS, networking, and certificates within AWS
• Monitor and remediate cloud security issues using Wiz
• Implement security best practices and drive continuous improvement of cloud security posture
• Conduct security assessments and respond to findings from Wiz and other scanning tools
• Manage operational service partners (deliveries, follow‑up, IT security, backups)
• Handle administrative tasks and documentation (JIRA/Confluence)
• Ensure availability of core IT products and services
• Implement and enforce IT governance requirements (security, compliance, risk, architecture)
• Provide support and guidance to process partners with a customer‑focused mindset

Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management and system administration
• Proven production experience with AWS and cloud migration projects
• Experience working in DevOps and agile environments

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Deep knowledge of AWS services and enterprise best practices
• Strong experience with AWS Lambda and serverless/event‑driven architectures
• Advanced Terraform (IaC) skills
• DNS management in AWS (Route 53)
• VPC design, subnets, and security groups
• Certificate management (ACM, mTLS)
• VPN and connectivity solutions

Databases & Servers

• Expertise in relational and NoSQL databases (RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB)
• Advanced SQL skills (query optimization, performance tuning, database design)
• Experience with server architecture, configuration, and optimization
• Database administration: backups, replication, high availability, disaster recovery

Development & Automation

• Strong programming skills in Python for automation and application development
• Scripting experience (Bash, SQL)
• Hands‑on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

Security & Compliance

• Experience with Wiz or similar cloud security platforms
• Understanding of regulatory requirements (GDPR, PSD2)
