Fullstack Software Developer (Node.js/.NET)

The Fullstack Software Developer builds and evolves web applications that directly impact user experience and business outcomes. You will design, implement, and maintain features across frontend and backend systems, collaborating closely with product, design, and operations teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy user-facing features and backend services across the entire application stack.
• Translate product requirements and user stories into efficient, maintainable code and APIs.
• Collaborate with UX designers to implement accessible and responsive user interfaces.
• Write and maintain automated tests, participate in code reviews, and enforce coding standards.
• Monitor application performance and implement optimization and scaling strategies.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with DevOps to ensure smooth releases and rollback strategies.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents, maintaining high availability and reliability.
• Document architecture, design decisions, and operational runbooks for shared team knowledge.

Required skills

• 5+ years of professional experience building web applications spanning frontend and backend.
• Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks
• Solid backend experience with Node.js and .NET
• Working knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases, and the ability to model data for performance and consistency.
• Experience with version control (Git), automated testing, and CI/CD workflows.
• Familiarity with containerization and basic cloud services (AWS and Azure) or platform-as-a-service offerings.
• Strong understanding of web security fundamentals and performance best practices.

Nice to have skills:

• Experience with TypeScript in both frontend and backend contexts.
• Knowledge of serverless architectures, message queues, or event-driven systems.
• Contributions to open-source projects or personal projects demonstrating fullstack capabilities.
• Experience with accessibility standards and internationalization/localization.

• The role typically reports to an Engineering Manager sits within a product-aligned engineering team. You will work closely with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and site reliability engineers to align technical efforts with business goals and user needs.

Team Structure & Collaboration Interfaces

• You will be part of a cross-functional team that includes product, design, and QA. Regular collaboration with other engineering teams, platform/DevOps, data, and customer-facing teams ensures shared ownership of architecture, deployment, and user outcomes. Participation in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and design reviews is expected.
