Stockholm (Onsite)

Our client is on a mission to transform how we build and operate software. We’re moving from traditional managed service to a cloud-native operating model, built on Azure, together with Site Reliability Engineering practices at the core.

We’re looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with a strong foundation with Azure to help establish the foundation with shared services and capabilities. You’ll be part of a high-impact team, shaping our ways of working, golden paths and operational excellence.

What you’ll do:

  • Own and evolve our Azure landing zones – policies, governance, security baselines and cost controls together with LFAB’s Cloud Shared Services.
  • Build and maintain foundational and shared infrastructure, such as centralized logging, backup policies, Azure Defender, Microsoft Purview etc.
  • Develop reusable Bicep modules and patterns that product teams consume
  • Create and maintain CI/CD templates and golden paths that make the right way to easy way
  • Work as a maintainer in an inner source model – setting standards and reviewing contributions from DevOps engineers and developers across the organization
  • Collaborate closely with SRE on reliability concerns, observability and incident learnings
  • Make pragmatic decisions that balance standardization with team autonomy
  • Self-serve tooling and ensure a great developer experience – making it easy to do the right thing. The goal is to be fast while staying regulatory compliant.

What we’re looking for:

  • Demonstratable experience with Platform engineering, cloud engineering or similar role – this is a senior position.
  • Previous experience leading or owning a platform, landing zone or cloud foundation
  • Strong Azure experience – you’ve built real infrastructure and not just drawn diagrams. This is a hands-on role as well.
  • Deep familiarity with Infrastructure as Code, specifically Bicep.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
  • Understanding of policy-as-code, Azure Policy, and governance at scale
  • Comfort with the Azure security tooling landscape: Defender, Purview, Key Vault, Managed Identities
  • Ability to write clear documentation and communicate technical decisions to varied audiences
  • Familiarity with Azure Well Architected Framework, and what good looks like in an enterprise environment which lives in a hybrid environment.
  • A mindset geared towards automation, standardization, and enabling others rather than gatekeeping.
  • Good experience in how Azure’s PaaS services work – especially Azure Container Apps, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, Service Bus, Event Hub, Log Analytics, Azure AI Foundry, etc.
  • Experience with some coding language for automation purposes

Useful to have:

  • Understanding of SRE practices – SLOs, error budgets, incident management
  • Familiarity with FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization
  • Experience working in regulated industries (insurance, finance)

This is a transformative role, which will shape future ways of working, and we believe strong self-leadership, great communication skills and drive is key for success.
