Our client is seeking an experienced Mainframe Developer for a long-term assignment within a complex IT environment. The consultant will work with development, maintenance, and modernization of legacy mainframe systems, collaborating closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Start date: 2026-02-02

End date: 2027-06-30

Place: Gothenburg

Rate: 700 SEK/hour

Development and maintenance of mainframe-based applications
Participation in initiatives to modernize and optimize legacy mainframe environments
Analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of complex technical issues
Close collaboration with stakeholders across different levels of the organization

Requirements

Proficiency in mainframe programming languages and tools such as COBOL, JCL, VSAM, ISPF, SDSF, MQ, CICS, PL/I, OPCE, Assembler, or equivalent
Strong knowledge of mainframe databases and data management systems, e.g. DB2 or IMS
Proven experience in legacy system modernization within the mainframe domain
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
