Become a Key Player as SAP Solution Architect Finance

A leading company in the manufacturing industry has launched a group-wide program to modernize and harmonize its working methods, including the implementation of a new ERP system. As SAP Solution Architect for Finance, you will be responsible for the overall SAP solutions within the finance workstream, ensuring they align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.


This role involves close collaboration with finance stakeholders, project teams, and external implementation partners to ensure successful deployment and integration of the SAP Finance solution. You should have solid expertise in SAP S/4HANA core finance modules such as financial accounting and controlling. You will take ownership of the entire finance solution, including its interfaces with other process streams such as sales, logistics, transport management, sourcing, and plant maintenance. This includes ensuring that financial implications are properly captured, integrated, and reported across the value chain both in ongoing projects and in the maintenance organization.


The role will be part of the Finance to Cash workstream in the overall program, and you will report to the workstream lead. The position will also collaborate closely with the architect team and IT maintenance organization.


In this role, you will be responsible to:

• Develop and maintain SAP end-to-end solutions for Finance and Controlling together with the finance project team.

• Participate in both project implementation and maintenance organization activities.

• Collaborate with internal finance teams, project stakeholders, and external vendors to understand business requirements and processes.

• Ensure the solution architecture supports multiple regions and legal entities.

• Document the solution architecture in line with given standards.

• Understand the current system landscape and integrations to support the transition.

• Provide expertise and context for the company’s SAP finance solutions.

• Support incident management and provide solutions for technical and functional issues.


To succeed in the role of SAP Solution Architect, we believe you have:

• A degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields.

• Experience from ERP systems and a strong understanding of their integration.

• Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA finance modules.

• Solid experience with SAP implementations and technical proficiency with at least two full-cycle SAP implementations and an understanding of the organizational challenges associated.

• Cross-module expertise to design end-to-end solutions.

• Commitment to high-quality project and maintenance delivery.

• Understanding of the interface between Plant Maintenance and Finance, including:

o How maintenance processes impact financial reporting and cost allocation.

o Master data structures such as equipment, functional locations, and cost centers.

o Methods for tracking and analyzing maintenance costs across assets and operations.

• A strong grasp of how Sales, Logistics, and Sourcing processes impact financial flows and reporting, including:

o Integration points between operational and financial modules.

o How transactional data from these areas affects profitability, cost control, and compliance.

o Ability to design solutions that ensure financial transparency across the value chain.

• Knowledge of tax and VAT functionality in SAP.

• Strong Application Maintenance Management experience.

• Experience from the manufacturing industry or related sectors.

Location and Mobility:

• Main location is in the Stockholm area; onsite work is required. The company also has operations in other parts of Sweden, Finland, and the US. Some travel will be part of the role.
