Domain Data Steward to the ESG Data Domain.

The Domain Data Steward is part of the Data Domain core team with overarching purpose and responsibility to execute effective and correct governance of data in its scope, in alignment with strategic goals and regulatory compliance. The Domain Data Steward is responsible to secure that data is fit for purpose according to set Data Domain targets and strategies.

General duties and responsibilities:

• Data Identification & Description

As part of the Data domain core team, you will assist with.

• Identifying Critical Data Elements for Data Domain scope.
• Establish common definitions within the Data Domain, publish and maintain these in the Central Glossary.
• Together with the Data domain team, build and maintain a Conceptual Data Model of the key concepts in the Data Domain.
• Ensure that Critical Data Elements are mapped towards application-level terms in the calculation and consumption layer.
• Identify and document key business processes and applications related to the Data Domain scope
• Identify other key data experts and data users when needed e.g., to provide definitions, context, own specific terms or metrics.

Data Lineage

• Coordinate that data lineage is complete from system of origin to calculation and consumption.
• Identify potential gaps in lineage for Data Domain scope and coordinate remediation. Data Quality Management.
• Gather Data Quality requirements and overall data challenges
• Support the setup of Data Quality dashboard in Metadata Management tool.
• Support Agile Teams in analysis of Data Quality incidents, gaps and their root-causes (including locating the IT system where root cause resides), and evaluate their business impact.
• Support Agile Teams in new data initiatives to ensure data governance expectations are met.

Education:

• Academic degree in data science, computer science, finance, economics or any other relevant discipline or proven work experience in the field.

Work experience:

• ~2-5 years of experience in “data centric” role, e.g., data management, data governance, reporting, data processing or other related area.
• Data management knowledge or experience, ideally within Banking environment.
• Experience of data in Data Domain scope, both conceptual understanding and specific understanding of Swedbank processes and implementation. Data Management Knowledge
• Understanding of standard data governance principles, e.g., Data Quality management, Metadata Management, Critical Data Elements, information modelling, data security/privacy.
• Familiarity with wider data operations, e.g., data storage systems/data warehousing, data processing techniques, e.g., ETL, data models, data integration methods.
• Preferred familiarity with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) regulations and reporting requirements.

Data Domain & Business knowledge:

• Excellent understanding of the business or Data Domain context, i.e. ability to effectively interact with business personnel to understand the need, data, inconsistencies etc.
• Preferably good understanding of the wider Banking data context including familiarity with regulations, e.g., BCBS239, GDPR, IRB.
• Ability to translate technical descriptions into understandable business terms and vice versa, i.e. ability to bridge gap between systems and business context.

Technical skills:

• Knowledge of common data retrieving techniques, e.g., SQL, i.e. expectation to be hands-on when needed accessing data across system.
• Skilled in data analysis and reporting, e.g., Excel, MicroStrategy, Power BI.
• Familiarity with IT and software development processes, e.g., SAFe, to collaborate effectively with IT Operations.

• Proficiency in English and Swedish.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to engage with business and IT stakeholders.
