SE_Test Engineer_Specialist

Description: (position typically requires 8 years or more relevant experience)

Define verification criteria for Climate test and support to cooling performance test and function/calibration test. In order to deliver the technical test requirements upstream in the projects by bench tests and physical vehicles.

In your daily work, you will be responsible:

- To understand and keep yourself updated on our customers, their needs connected to Cab Climate Comfort with occasional thermal supply focus.

- To break down the customers’ needs and expectations to measurable requirements and document them, plan and perform the feature and functional verification and validation of the Climate system.

- To lead and be part of testing and tuning activities for parameter settings for climate control regulator. Testing is done mainly in trucks on roads, wind tunnel or climate chamber but could be also in rigs.

- To analyze the results, take the required actions and write an engineer report.

- To collaborate and give your inputs on HW and SW development within the department & handle complex balancing of contradictory engineering and customer requirements.

- You will be an important member in an agile team, contributing to short term deliveries as well as long term strategies.

Overall role: Create test plan. Manage, plan, prepare, and execute the test. Analyze results and give recommendations in their respective technology area. Prepare and manage fault reports from tests. Document results and compile the engineering report (ER). Continuously update Test Methods and propose updates of Technical Requirement together with the technology areas. Define strategies and develop test methods for new technologies, transport solutions within features, functions, or field test. Deploy and support the feature, function testing or field tests in new markets and sites. Responsibility for test codes and or test methods, Responsible for fidelity of test methods and codes, Go-To person, Technical expert within an area or broad competence in many, train, and mentor less experienced, manage network across the organization. On Specialist level the employee is a specialist in Test Engineering typically obtained through education and work experience (position typically requires 8 years or more relevant experience). -Leading on complex group tasks/projects and actively developing team members - Role model of cutting edge thinking and an established contributor to lifelong learning within the TD/BA as a master trainer, coach and/or mentor - Solid Tshaped profile with definable expert knowledge within broadbased allround toolkit - Demonstrable influencer within the Volvo Group network - Clear articulation of how he/she is creating value to the respective TD/BA beyond their part of the organization
