SE_Logistics Packaging Engineer_Professional
Description: (position typically requires 2 to 5 years relevant experience)Packaging Engineer role is to focus on design and placing requirements on standard and special packaging for the Volvo Group, including: Designing and constructing new packaging or improvements to existing packaging; Create or change packaging instructions for new parts or changes triggered by flow optimization; Execute and implement decided improvements and work with continuous improvement; Designing quality assurance/control processes and procedures into packaging design. On Professional level applies practical knowledge typically obtained through education and work experience (position typically requires 2 to 5 years relevant experience). May require the following proficiency: Works independently with general supervision. Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex. May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
Comments To Supplier: Scope
- Support product projects and create packaging instructions for new parts.
- Maintain packaging for a portfolio of Suppliers.
- Give input in early stages of projects regarding packaging suggestions
- Participate in and empower our global packaging networks.
- Create time plans in order to meet project deadlines

Required Competences
- Excellent with computer and experienced with digitalized simulation tools
- Experience/Training in Supply Chain optimization and Lean Logistics
- Fluent in English
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent work experience
Experience from a production environment is beneficial.
