SE_Wiring & Harness Engineer_Expert
Competences and skills:
- Strong knowledge in wiring harness design
- Strong Knowledge in vehicle electrical architecture - Wiring topology, ECU and electrical components connections and installation
- Ability to work with ambiguity in investigation and concept selections
- Strong Knowledge in Wiring Diagrams design tool - preferably SABER
- Knowledge in installation, wiring harness, ECUs and electrical components
Tasks:
- Develop logical electrical diagrams in SABER as input for the wiring harness development team
- Recommend wiring and electrical installation concepts in project early phases early phases
- Recommend interim solution for testing vehicles for wiring harness and electrical components
- Decide on wiring harness topology
- Work with wiring development process in early development phase
- Specify electrical wiring and hardware interfaces (I/O configuration).

Develop and document wiring harness and power cable components (wires, cables, connectors, passives, brackets, and cable channels). Develop wiring and harnesses based on received requirements and using CAD tools. Design technical solutions, identify improvements, and propose new technical solutions. Make decisions on small and large adjustments and propose new technical solutions. Responsibility for the wiring harness product structure. Control technical release. On Expert level the employee is a recognized expert in Wiring & Harness Engineering typically obtained through advanced education and work experience (position typically requires 10 years or more relevant experience). - Experienced project lead and an established coach, mentor and educator to others in VG - Known subject matter expert and a natural goto person for complex discipline related issues - Strong Tshaped profile (either building deeper discipline excellence or developing mature generalist toolbox) - Known product owner, often contributing to project roadmaps/strategies within context of industry trends - Clear articulation of value creation by joining up the dots between their work and the TD/BA strategy.
