The Volvo Group is implementing a new finance platform (Master Finance 2.0) to support the Volvo Group 2030 strategy execution. This new IT platform, based on SAP S4/HANA will improve financial insight and improve efficiency in financial processes through a new information model.

As part of this journey, the manual billing functionality hosted on the current IT platform (Master Finance 1.0) will be decentralized to TD / BA platforms. This to secure fit for purpose solutions as well as to meet future compliance requirements.

This assignment is to drive the set-up of a new billing platform, hosted on SAP S/4, to support GTO flows managed on the current platform (MF 1.0). The work will span across GTO meaning Production Logistics, Manufacturing and Service Market Logistics. In conjunction with designing the new platform (based on SAP S/4 standard functionality), billing scenarios should be evaluated to investigate potential for automation (i.e. move flows previously managed manually to the existing automatic flow).

Specific attention will be given to the process regarding Supplier Claims (i.e. incorrect / damaged goods from suppliers).

The first milestone will be a go-live of MF 2.0 at the Swedish Powertrain plants 1st of April 2026.

In short, it means that the selected candidate will:

- Coordinate development of SD billing solution(s) at GTO

- Investigate current scenarios where billing is done manually in MF 1.0

- Drive change management initiatives across GTO and ordering party to move flows to ”standard automatic solution”

- Drive development of cross-functional solution for supplier claims management

- The candidate will work in close collaboration with MF 2.0 project resources as well as resources across GTO, Group Finance and VG D&IT. Together, they will define the full information model / solution with the candidate in lead.

As such, the candidate will be responsible for creating the project plan, coordinating resources and securing the delivery of the agreed scope within time and budget. The candidate should be prepared to work "hands-on" with the business.
