Background
Task Manager is a digital tool within Volvo CE that helps our customers plan, execute, and follow up on tasks related to their machines and worksites. The tool contributes to increased productivity, better planning, and more efficient use of the machine fleet.
UX Approach in Task Manager
The UX work within Task Manager is carried out in close collaboration with the product team and involves both continuous improvement and development of new features based on customer needs, data, and business goals. The work includes:
Gathering customer insights and needs.
Close collaboration with developers and the Product Owner (PO) to jointly develop solutions that are both technically feasible and create user value.
Designing user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and finalized UI components in line with Volvo CE’s design guidelines.
Continuous iterative work where design solutions are evaluated and improved based on feedback from both users and internal stakeholders.
Ensuring that solutions are of high quality and can scale within Volvo CE’s productivity services.
Collaboration and Teamwork
As a UX Designer within Task Manager, you will:
Work closely with developers and the PO in daily activities to refine and further develop the product together.
Maintain ongoing dialogue with the development team to quickly resolve questions and ensure that the design intent is correctly implemented.
Collaborate with other UX designers within the Productivity Services area to create a consistent user experience across our different applications and services.
Share experiences, methods, and solutions within our broader UX community to strengthen the overall quality of our services.
