Kubernetes Platform Specialist

Our client is seeking an experienced consultant to take lead of our clinets Kubernetes platform operations. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of multiple Kubernetes clusters—from setup and upgrades to decommissioning—as well as contributing to and driving the strategic direction of container orchestration within our organization.

Rate: 900 kr/h

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate multiple Kubernetes clusters across development, staging, and production environments.

• Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management to ensure cluster stability and security.

• Define and implement best practices for cluster configuration, networking, security, and scalability.

• Collaborate with internal teams to support deployment pipelines, monitoring, and incident management.

• Drive the strategic direction of Kubernetes and container orchestration within our organization.

• Evaluate new tools, architectures, and processes to improve reliability and efficiency.

• Document architecture decisions, operational procedures, and incident responses.

Requirements:

• Strong experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production environments (self-managed)

• Provisioning and maintaining on-prem infrastructure

• Proven ability to plan and execute upgrades and configuration changes with minimal disruption.

• Solid knowledge of containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines and tools as ArgoCD, Jenkins, GitHub actions.

• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Ansible, Terraform, Helm, etc.).

• Experience with monitoring/logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentd, etc.).

• Background in security best practices in Kubernetes environments.

• Experience with Linux environments

• Strategic mindset with the ability to influence platform direction and standards.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

• ITIL certification or similar preferred
