SE_CAD Engineer_Senior

Description: We are looking for a consultant to work with within Fuel Cell + Engines & Hybrids Platform 1-6 at Volvo Penta Gothenburg. The job includes development of new engines/drivelines & components as well as maintaining our current products in production and products in use at our customers applications. You will work with new development of components, fault tracing of components or systems, remedy of existing components, implementation of solutions or components in production as well as cooperation´s with our factories & suppliers. You need to be a "detective" to find the real root cause of a problem before you start to remedy the fault.

We work with 8D methodology to meet our quality standards, knowledge in this is important. You shall be able to handle several task simultaneously due to the nature of the job. CREO knowledge is a must, Volvo system knowledge as KOLA, VPCS etc is a merit.

You shall be curious and not afraid to try out new solutions or systems.

We are looking for a mechanical design engineer with experience in CREO CAD system. Knowledge in Volvo KOLA system is preferred. You shall be a social and humble person with a curiosity for trying out new ideas & solutions. You shall always strive to find the best possible solution to a problem with all aspects covered such as cost, ease of installation, producibility and sustainability etc. Speaking English fluently is a must.

(position typically requires ?5 years relevant experience)Develop design engineering documentation, such as drawings and CAD modules. Mature the product in the CAD system. Redesign existing models (e.g., redesign of small areas etc.) Product and procedures are given; however, the work requires experience and the capacity to perform analysis and draw conclusions. Design components in CAD. Create assemblies of CAD models, and detect, report, and resolve packaging conflicts. Secure quality and readiness before release. Define how to use the drawing as the basis for verifying the product's geometrical properties. Produce technical drawings that are sufficient to define a product. On Senior level applies advanced knowledge typically obtained through education and work experience (position typically requires ?5 years relevant experience). - Supporting junior team members and peers- Role model of lifelong learning, sharing knowledge and developing others as a trainer and/or coach - May be digging deeper in own discipline, but is building broader Tshaped profile - Developing influence and working confidently within the wider Volvo Group network - Clear articulation of how he/she is creating value within their part for the TD/BA.
