Data engineer/analyst/scientist
We are seeking an experienced professional with a background in data roles such as data engineer, data analyst, or data scientist to join our Data and Insights team. This team, comprising eight members, includes software developers, data scientists, and data analysts. The team utilizes data from our wastewater pumps and controllers to deliver insights that help our users make better decisions.
The team is geographically spread out across Poland, the UK, and Sweden. While work can be done remotely, the location for this assignment will be Sundbyberg, and some presence at the office is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to understand data requirements and deliver working solutions for production.
- Ensure data quality and integrity
- Optimize data storage and retrieval for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Provide technical expertise and support to team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working with both data engineering and data science
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data warehousing solutions.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Skills and experience in working with time-series data and time-series databases such as influxDB or Timebase
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and frameworks.
- Skills in developing models to forecast future trends based on historical data.
- Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations.
- Basic understanding of web applications and REST APIs
