Our client is looking for a Senior HIL Rig Developer to join a team driving the future of autonomous transport solutions. Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing plays a critical role in continuous integration, verification, and validation to ensure quality, speed, and safety for Autonomous Driving (AD) systems.

As product complexity grows, maintaining compatibility across HIL systems, test environments, third-party development and test tools, and the system under test becomes increasingly challenging. In this role, you will work closely with colleagues across various domains, staying updated on emerging technologies and contributing to continuous integration and testing activities.

We believe that you have a positive mindset and strong social skills, as collaboration is key to this position. You are structured, a strong communicator, and have a “make-it-happen” attitude. Passion for building development tools, implementing testing workflows, and driving infrastructure improvements is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain HIL rigs and their associated toolchains for real-time system testing.
  • Ensure integration among HIL components, test environments, and the system under test.
  • Implement and maintain continuous integration and testing strategies.
  • Support verification of complex AD systems and manage equipment used for electronic system or component testing.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies, tools, and methods, contributing to innovation and improvements.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Computer Engineering, Physics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with HIL development in real-time systems (preferably using Vector Systems and CANoe).
  • Good knowledge of electronics system/component testing equipment.
  • Proficiency in both Linux and Windows environments.

Highly Valued Competencies:

  • Experience with communication protocols such as DDS, REST API, UDS, and EtherCAT.
  • Familiarity with autonomous driving perception sensors (Lidar, Radar, Camera).
  • Background in system verification.
  • Experience in plant modeling and simulation.
