We are looking for a Lead UX Designer on behalf of our client in Gothenburg. In the role as Lead UX Designer, you will need to have a strong partnership with product leadership, exploring business and user needs to drive the client’s design narrative. The role covers design strategy, innovation, and driving data-based decisions. Also, you should have a passion for crafting great user experience and an ability to translate complex concepts to straightforward, elegant, and functional solutions.


Responsibilities

  • Drive and support initiatives on operational and strategic levels
  • Allocation of team resources, maintaining team motivation, and ensuring team communication
  • Engage in all stages of the design process across the product lifecycle (from research, workshops, ideation, conceptualization, and delivery of design)
  • Visualise end-to-end journeys that support key business and user goals and metrics and help communicate the product vision
  • Create design concepts, wireframes, workflow diagrams, mockups, prototypes, pixel perfect design and other product deliverables to effectively communicate design requirements
  • Collaborate with developers, domain experts, and product managers to rapidly iterate on designs based on user feedback, technical design constraints, and market dynamics
  • Work closely with other UX/UI resources to ensure designs align with usability and technical design standards, user experience best practices, company-wide design principles and systems
  • Understand and balance user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility
  • Promote design-centered thinking and best practices across the organization
  • Support and contribute to evolving their way of working with user experience design


Experience and qualities

  • Background in UX work within Cloud Application development projects
  • Part of transition from legacy type of development to being design centric and data driven
  • Experience driving end-to-end design processes and making insights-driven design decisions
  • Track record of measuring the impact of design activities on business and user outcomes
  • Ability to communicate design and insights with clarity and conciseness to a range of stakeholders
  • Knowledge around usability standards and UX best practices
  • Self-driven, taking full responsibility and accountability for deliveries
  • Humble and open-minded – constantly looking to hone skills and curious about best practices within the design field
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think outside of the box
  • Experience working according to SAFe and lean UX is meritorious


Qualifications


  • 6+ years of relevant work experience within the UX area
  • University degree in interaction design, industrial design engineering, or related fields (or have practical experience)
  • Advanced skills in Figma, or other design tools
  • Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and verbal
  • Can provide portfolio or demonstrate your experience with work samples


Location: Gothenburg, 2-3 days/w on-site
