Our client is looking for a Test Automation Engineer. The new automation team needs an experienced Test Automation Engineer. In this role you will be contributing to developing automated test strategies and test frameworks, as well as creating and configuring test frameworks and executing automated tests.


Location: Sweden Gothenburg (minimum 3 days on site)

Language: Fluent English

Start: ASP to 1/2 years ahead


Overview of responsibilities

• Design and Implement automated tests adhering to the Test Strategy

• Convert existing manual test scripts/cases to executable automated tests

• Continuous improvement of the automation framework

• Plan and execute automation tests on a continuous basis

• Proactively identify improvements and enhancements


Required skills & experience.

• Previous experience working as a Senior Test Automation Engineer (min 5 years in Test

Automation)

• API testing experience

• Strong hands-on automation skills drawn from experience of automating using varying

technologies and tools

• Strong understanding of various testing automation principles, concepts, approaches and

methods

• Ability to code in Java and an understanding of Object-Oriented design principles

• Understanding & use of automated agile / non-agile testing methods such as Cucumber BDD &

Selenium/Playwright

• Be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Self-starter, highly motivated and loves embracing challenges

• CI/CD using e.g. Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions

• Understanding of cloud technologies, Azure and/or Amazon AWS


Desired skills & experience

• Working knowledge and experience of Cypress Test Automation Framework

• Appium test automation framework Experience for testing mobile apps using Selenium

WebDriver protocol

• BrowserStack working knowledge and experience

• Experience working in a globally distributed team

• Practical experience of Unix/Linux

• Experience in participating and contributing towards PI and Sprint planning.


Education/Experience

• Degree educated or relevant working experience
