Full Stack Developer
Our client is seeking a Full Stack Developer with at least 3 years of experience in Agile development and full-stack service creation, with a strong focus on frontend development. A solid foundation in scientific programming, especially in fields like Chemistry, Physics, or Cheminformatics, is essential. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience developing and deploying end-to-end solutions within research or scientific environments.

This project aims to improve the analysis of Oligonucleotides, Peptides, and their Conjugates, which is currently done using LCMS (Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry). Due to the size and complexity of these molecules, the process is time-consuming and relies on large Excel spreadsheets and scientists’ expertise, limiting accuracy and efficiency.
The goal is to develop a web service capable of predicting and identifying structure-sensitive impurities in these molecules. The service will calculate key properties such as m/z values, charge states, and potential MS adducts or fragments. It will support various workflows across PharmSci, offering multiple output formats and an API for automation.
A proof of concept (POC) with some core functionality already exists. The developer will collaborate closely with scientists to understand project needs and enhance the solution.
Requirements
Experience and Competence
- At least 3 years of experience in Agile development and full-stack solution creation
- Strong emphasis on frontend development
- Experience in scientific programming
- Familiarity with collaboration with researchers and experts in fields such as Chemistry, Physics, or Cheminformatics
Technical Competence
- Extensive experience in developing and deploying end-to-end solutions, especially in research or scientific environments
- Experience working with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., ReactJS, Redux, or similar)
- Backend development experience, preferably with Java and SpringBoot or similar technologies
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and integration with Sonar
- Experience with cloud services, such as AWS, for deploying and managing applications
Scientific Background
- Solid understanding of scientific domains, especially Chemistry, Physics, or Cheminformatics
- Ability to apply programming to research projects and scientific problem solving
- Experience in developing software that supports research processes and analysis
