Study Onboarding Business Analyst
Our client is looking for a Study Onboarding Business Analyst. The Business Analyst will perform business analysis activities related to onboarding of clinical studies to using our clients clinical trial solution designed by Patients, to simplify the trial experience for all participants, and help digitalize clinical trials. The Business Analyst works closely with study teams and stakeholders, and operates with a high level of interactive communication, demonstrating high levels of inclusion and cultural sensitivity.
Responsibilities include delivering high quality fit-gap analyses, detailing study specific configurations,
as well as defining business requirements/features and to ensure that proposed solutions meet
established quality and compliance standards and business solution needs. The
Business Analyst will also lead and contribute to the improvement of processes and workflow,
ensuring the study onboarding team can scale up to support a growing number of clinical trials.

The Business Analyst is expected to perform at Advanced level in the following:
• Business Needs Identification - Operates at a functional level in assessing and defining the
needs for an upcoming clinical study, and identify areas for improvement. Proactively seeks
out opportunities to enhance and improve in line with strategic goals. Actively monitors and
identifies capability gaps and proposes potential solutions through research internally and
externally. Proficient in scoping and recommending appropriate approaches. Capable of
planning and managing their own and other team member’s activities to meet deliverables
and deadlines. Accountable for performance and quality of analytical work delivered, both
their own and the work of others.
• Stakeholder Analysis, Change & Communication - Effectively identifies stakeholders, and
actively builds and maintains relationships according to individual stakeholder needs and
levels of influence. Contributes to communication plans and change management for project
and stakeholders. Ability to communicate in a clear and structured way, and with a high level
of cultural sensitivity.
• Requirements Analysis and Configuration - Responsible and accountable for capturing study
needs and requirements and translating these to more technical specifications and study-
specific configurations. Ability to identify and recommend appropriate solutions that fulfil the
underlying needs of the clinical trial. Proficient at documenting configuration requirements in a
clear and structured way, employing best practice methods for requirement writing.
Proactively taking actions to remove/reduce the complexity our customers face. Highly
responsive to changing business priorities with ability to plan ahead, accounting for potential
changes and corrective actions.
Required skills & experience.
• Experience of working with development and/or configuration of COTS solutions, that are
configured based on customer needs
• Strong engagement, communication and stakeholder management skills, including excellent
presentation and influencing skills
• Proven experience of successfully deploying a variety of business analysis tools/techniques
and writing requirements
• Proven experience of working with complex integrated systems, using creative and strategic
thinking to deliver exceptional results
• Experience using Jira, Confluence or similar tools
• Degree in relevant discipline or formal certification in business analysis practice
• Experience from Healthcare and Life Sciences, preferably with clinical trials
• Experience of working in a global organisation with complex/geographical context
• Experience of working in a regulated environment, ideally, GxP/SaMD experience
